August 17, 200520 yr Hello! I'm new to this forum and hope you guys can help me. I have a 88' Leone turbo that wont run. The timing belt broke a few days ago so i replaced it and got all the timing correct. But I only have a weak spark from the coil and no spark from the distributor. What is wrong?
August 17, 200520 yr 1. Make sure you timed it correctly, its not at TDC, its at 3 marks on the flywheel that are about 30-70 degrees away from TDC the left and right banks need to be 180 out, when the flywheel is at the 3 timing marks, the passenger side should be down while the drivers side mark should be up 2. make sure all your wires leading from and to the distributor are good and tight. if you got an accel coil on it try swapping the original coil just to be sure. August 17, 200520 yr Author It should be timed correct, i had a mechanic to look at it. What wires should i check. I have checked the wires to the coil and they are good (i think). I think it's really weird that i only have weak sparks.
August 17, 200520 yr unless it was a subaru mechanic i'd double check, check the plug wires, the wire off the coil, anything that could have been disconnected to get the belts on.
