I see "factory service manuals on CD" available on Ebay. Are these worth having for the average shade-tree mechanic? I understand that they aren't comparable to Autozone/Alldata subscription but seems like they would be a step above the usual Haynes/Chiltons (which aren't made for more recent model Subarus anyway). Seems like a deal at less then $10.

If you look hard enough (on the web or even this board), you can get FSM for free. The ebay people sell you pirated FSM, Michell or similar.
