I want to upgrade my cars front suspension to KYB GR2's (already did this in the rear). How much harder is it to do the fronts? Do i need to get a spring compressor? Will i notice a big difference in handling? This is an 83 suby sedan with probably the original suspension, except for the rear. Thanks guys.

You need a compressor to remove the springs from the front struts. Actually removing the struts from the car and stuff is a piece of cake.
