Hey all swapping my engine and i am wondering what this is for.

 

I have a wire on the ECU that is for

 

SSM/GST communication Line

 

Its a signal wire and what the heck is SSM/GST its from a 2000 model forester BTW

I have the wiring diagram for the Forester. I don't see any reference to SST or GSM

 

.....Can you tell me what pin from the ECU connector it's from?

yeah i have the wiring diagram as well and i have scoured it several times....

 

On the ECU its Connector B135 Pin #3 marked as SSM/GST Connector

It goes to the OBDII connector pin 10 (connector B40) and to the Subsru Select Monitior connector B79 pin 12. Used for diagnostice tester.
