I finally pulled the motor from my 97 Legacy Outback and my brother(Lexus mechanic) and I are going to put new headgaskets, timing belt, valve seals etc on and I am wondering if Subaru sells a complete gasket kit for the job?

 

I am also going to get new head bolts and a few other gaskets for the front cover. Does anyone know the part #'s I need and where to buy them from.

 

My brother had done a compression check only a month or so before the head gaskets went and everything was in spec even with 165,000 miles on it so I don't want to spring for a new engine, just fix this one right.

Go to 1stsubaruparts.com. They sell an OEM overhaul gasket set for less than $200.

 

They probably can sell you head bolts too.
