October 18, 200520 yr Another snag.... Just installing the rings on pistons (i've finally started with the final assembly of the ea81t) and of the two oil control rails, one has a tab bent out at the end. Does this rail go on the top or bottom? Cheers.
October 18, 200520 yr There should be a little indentation for it in the piston. I can't remember if it's on the top or bottom, but it should be there somewhere.

October 18, 200520 yr Did they send the wrong rings? I was speaking from my EA82 experience. All of the EA82s I've seen have had a little indentation. That's all I know for sure.

Hmm, i got them straight from the guys who did machining form me, they do a few ea81s so i thought they would be right, maybe not. I wonder if it will be ok if i just have the tab facing the expander?
