Just wondering how big of a sunroof I can put in my '84 GL Wagon with a roof rack. I used to have a spare one but someone destroyed it, what was the size of the factory ones (pop-up).

I just ran out and measured the sunroof on my '84 TW...

 

It's 34.5"x18.75"

 

That's from edge to edge of the gasket both ways. So...The actual hole for the sunroof/the glass is probably about an inch narrower each way.

 

So, realistically the actual glass is probably about 33"x18"
