They are sharp looking cars. You'll be happy with the 2.2l. I don't know if its the same as in the mid 90's Legacy's...but its a decent engine. It is not a fast car...i've had it up to 120MPH...but it took a while to get up there. Do they make Imprezas with a 2.5??

I think you clicked the wrong button :D To answer your question though, the Impreza has been available with a 2.5 engine since 1998. It was DOHC in 98 and from 99-present it has a SOHC 2.5 engine.
