can anyone help me with a wiring diagram to put a ea82t out of a vortex so my brumby has a bit more zing

For us Yanks, the vortex is the XT right, or is the Alcyone the XT? I have both the 88XT and the 87RX manuals, i should be able to get a picture of the pages that you need. but there might already be some pdf files on the web somewhere.

from what i understand and have read on this site yes. i'm not sure which of the models you quoted. i bought a half cut from the importers, and the description they gave it was an ax7 alcione. the set-up in the car is es82t with 5 sp full time 4wd with an electronic diff lock.

Then its likely an 87+.
