Why is there no EGR on the NA spider?

...yet turbos, turbo spiders, carbs, and spfi have it?

or this, i have 3 turbo wagons, 2 with egr and one without, all nonspider

I think it depends upon where the car was going to be sold.

This is a good question...I searched around the NABISCO board and found some (maybe all) gen 2 legacys don't have them either, neither do some (maybe all) phase I ej205s.

Hmmm...

If a manufacturer can certify to the EPA that they'll be able to pass NOx emissions for 100,000 miles, they don't have to have the EGR. Late-model Chevys don't have them for that reason.
