Oil Pump

Featured Replies

Well, I've decided that my old Soob needs to live more than the turbo donor car, so I'm going to rebuild the front end tomorrow. However, with the bumper, grill, valance, radiator and A/C condensor all gone, it seems like the perfect time to change the timing belts. I'm also replacing the water pump and resealing the oil pump. I just can't remember what parts I need for the oil pump. It seems that I remember a seal that goes around the housing, an O-ring, and the front seal. Am I missing anything? Thanks.

there are 3. the front oil seal on the shaft. the oil block to pump gasket (o-ring material - called the mickey mouse gasket for obvious reasons when you see it)

and an o-ring. with all that stuff out of the way this job should be a walk in the park, nice.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but I wanted to be sure before I go to the dealer. The Soob should be back on the road tomorrow night (if not earlier).:D
