November 17, 200520 yr Ok, so the brat doesn't really run that great, it surges and hesitates in the beginning of the gas pedal. It seems like something isn't opening or actuating when it should. I just changed the air intake, and I had it wired wrong with all of the vacum hoses, and fixed them, but there is still something wrong. Did my does the idle mixture need adjusted to compensate for the higher flowing intake? Or did I not plumb a vacum hose in right? Thanks Rick
November 17, 200520 yr i de-emisioned my brat, plugged almost all the vacum lines, and removed the air cleaner and air cleaner housing completely, and it runs better than ever!
November 17, 200520 yr Author Sweet, that may be the ticket! Can you make me a list of all the lines you plugged please? I really need to get this thing running ASAP. And I also already disconnected all of the Air injection hoses as well, so I doubt I need anything else anyway. Thanks Rick
November 17, 200520 yr it is wet and dark outside now, but i will try tommorow.if you want to work on it right now, your best bet is to take them off 1 at a time.after you take each one off, start it and let it run for like 30 seconds to make sure it is not necessary.it really is a piece of cake, just gotta jump in there.good luck, Jon
November 17, 200520 yr Author Sure, I can wait, and I guess I can just try pulling some lines, and plugging them. It's too cold to work outside now though. Thanks Rick
