When wires connected Check Engine "blinks" 33 <== what does this mean?

 

Check engine light on + Spedometer and odometer no longer workingSmell of something hot in back of car inside and aropund back of car

 

Replaced transmission and differential in September

 

Where can I find the meaning ofr the code for Legacy 1993?

It is the code for the vehicle speed sensor.

 

There are probably 2 on your car, they are on the transfer case and the transaxle. Take the car back and complain, see if they will fix it. Worth a shot!

 

When you say "hot", is it coming from the exhaust or somwhere else?

The shaft inside the piece breaks, and the speedo no longer works. Replace that piece, reset the ecu, and everything should be good.
