December 1, 200520 yr I have a 91 & 92 Legacy and I am just wondering if any of you can fill me on on what is the trick on removing the fuel injectors. I had one go bad a while back and I butchered the bad one getting it out, but had no issue putting a new one in. Well, now another one died, and I believe there just has to be an easier way to get these out. Thanks for the help.
December 2, 200520 yr Author Did you soak it with a good penetrating fluid like P-blaster? I sprayed it pretty good last night with some WD-40. I will sray some more tonight and see how it goes. I had a subaru tech tell me to spray it with penetrating oil and try to twist and pull with a pair of pliers. Hope it works. Thanks for the help. Prowler
December 2, 200520 yr Yes, you need to twist them. Once they've broken loose it's easier to pull them out. Sort of twist/wiggle them, while pulling up.q
December 2, 200520 yr Prowler, WD-40 is good for chasing water out of frozen padlocks but it has almost no lubrication properties. A real penetrating oil like Liquid Wrench or PB-Blaster is what you need.
