December 1, 200520 yr Eh? According to the FSM, my ea81 valve springs are all around 2-3mm too long. How does that work?? According to my haynes manual, they are all around 1mm too short?
December 1, 200520 yr Author Are they ones you had on the motor before?Or are they brand new? They are the ones that were on the motor.
December 1, 200520 yr Hmmm.... I would go with the reading of 1mm too short due to compression after extended use.I think 1mm seems like a bit.Maybe .5mm? Also what valve springs have you measured this on?Intake or exhaust or both?

It would make sense that they would be short as you say, but i'd be more inclined to believe the FSM than haynes....... Perhaps ea82 ones are longer, and thats what these ones are?
