How much is the normal gas mileage for my 1984 4WD GLF Subaru Sedan. I runs an 1800 EA81 engine with manual transmision (4 gears).

You should be getting 30+ mpg assuming you drive conservately and the engine is tuned properly.

I got around 26-29mpg in properly tuned wagons with this engine and tranny. Little less around town or in cold weather. These numbers are in US gallons. Imperial gallons will be 20% higher.
