Need help with a 2.2L Engine (Hesitation after Timing Belt Change)

Featured Replies

I just replaced my Timing Belt on my 1999 Subaru Outback Sport 2.2l engine (104K). Idle is good about 500 rpm, however the car hesitates when I begin to move. Then works well at speeds, and at 2000 rpm, however, around 2500 to 3000 rpm the call begins to boggs down unless I lift off the gas. Yes the check engine light is on, however it was on before I made this change and is related to an O2 sensor. Any suggestions? Btw: the car hesitated before the change, however was not as bad as it is now.

More specifically, is it a "O2 sensor slow", or a "sensor out of range"?

Also, what kind of tranny?

Manual Transmission. i've replaced the Fuel Filter and drove it to the local Auto parts store and used their computer. the 2 error codes are as follows:

P0141

O2 Sensor heater

Circuit Malfunction

(Bank 1 Sensor 2)

(i've ordered it and should be in tomorrow)

P0325

Knock Sensor 1

Circuit Malfuntion

Bank 1 or 1 Sensor

the car will not "chug" if i increase the speed very slowly, ie. ease the gas pedal. So i'm thinking Gas not timing.

thanks, mike
