Need to have the clutch replaced and flywheel resurfaced on my 87 brat. When I start up in 1st gear, the clutch will shutter and it yanks the car to a start. Shifting in other gears is OK.

 

So what should I expect to pay at an independant clutch place? I usually do my own work on the car, but dont really think I want to mess with this myself.

I would think you'd be into $400 minimum. $100-$200 for the PP/Disk (unless you talk them into just the disk, but I'd recommend full kit). 2-3 hours labor (not sure what you pay per hour there). Plus grinding and misc.
