ill let you know how the install goes , thought it will probably go easyier for me as i work at University Motors as a AutoMotive Technition , so im going to install the shifter bushings at work.

bushbasher As for the Trouble shifting where you it could be Shifter bushings , Could also be shift linkage , The Clutch might not be engageing all the way makeing it more diffucult to shift gears , could be any of those things , im not too experienced with subarus Yet , but will be before long.

p.s. i meant for this reply to go in my I love subaru Thread , But accidently hit the New Thread Button by accident , My Bad.

Ahh so you can put the car up on a lift... you suck:D Plus yours is 2WD which will probably make it a cinch...

Bushbasher, if you have trouble shifting, loosen up your clutch cable, that will move the disengagement point up higher. If its gets worse again in a few days, get ready, your clutch is getting ready to crap...:banghead:

the clutch can't be the problem, it engages/disengages in the first few inches of travel. If you rest your foot on it it seems to slip. I think it might be on it's way out soon, at 270k km.
