i am attempting to figure out the best way to put an mpfi motor/computer in my hatch.

 

this is confusing the hell out of me. i have never done an efi swap, but i understand what all the sensors are for and all that. should i just stick the complete harness in and leave the guage/ac/heater/lighting/ all that stuff unhooked? or would swapping in the xt guages and everything be easier? should i ditch most of the harness, and just isolate the motor stuff? ug, big projects are fun, but i need a good plan.

well, a haltech looks like an easy alternative, but thats 700bucks.
