replacing knock sensor 97 obw

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, i am new to this forum and a new subaru owner. i have a 97 subaru outback wagon. it is, of course, used and i am performing pretty much all the maintenace since i dont have records on the car. I have already replaced the radiator, all the fluids, and the transmission mount. I still need to do the timing, the spark plugs, and the knock sensor.

To my question: can someone help me locate the knock sensor; I am fairly certain that the change procedure is easy and since it will cost around a $100 to have someone do this for me, I think i will give it a try.

Any information will be helpful. TIA.
