gemery10 Posted January 27, 2006 Share Posted January 27, 2006 Hi to all, I have a couple more questions regarding pinging vs crankcase pressure. 1.I have cleaned pcv valve and all hoses with brake cleaner. Why is there still a bit of oil residue in the carby coming out of the vent frrom the right side? (drivers side in Aus) 2. Since I have had crankcase pressure for a while the cam cover is leaking on that side, is it just the cover seals that leak or is there internal seals that bust and leak out there? 3. It will ping unless the timing is less than stock (8 deg) and I run on premium. Even like this the plugs are a bit white. I have tried everything but new leads, plugs and coil. Can these really change it that much? 4 Going back from where the egr valve is (on some models not mine) you go to a steel can mounted on the chassis, what is this? I think its an anti backfire valve? can that cause pressure builld up if its blocked?
