Car starter installation in 2002 Outback

Featured Replies

I'd like to impress my wife with my car skills (LOL) and install a remote car starter as a surprise. Any tips, experiences, models of auto starters that fit Subaru's better than others? How complicated a task is it and what additional options would be required. Does Subaru make a model of auto starter just for Subaru's?

I'm a big do-it-yourselfer and would like to tackle this one solo - but after a buddy of mine and I put in a keyless entry on my vintage '94 Chevy Silverado I just about swore off this type of work. I swore we were working on the space shuttle.

I could always take it and have it professionally installed, hide the price from her and still tell her I had done it myself - but I really don't want to start fibbing to her after 23 great years of marriage. Thanks alot in advance for any help.
