i have a 82' subaru 4 dr gl how can i tell if it is a 1600 or 1800? thanks

Look for the engine code on the block right next to the distributor.Should just be a little to the left and up from there(If you are facing the engine from in front of the car).If it says ea71 you have the 1.6L and if it says ea81 it is the 1.8L.Probly have the 1.8L ea81 in your car.
