Hello, I meant to ask this when I asked my original question. I have a 94 loyale 4wd auto. Is there a difference beween auto trannies in 2wd and 4wd.

I have a chance to get a 91 loyale auto tranny 2wd but not sure if it would fit.

Also what years are available.... thanks again

The 2WD tranny will fit, but you will have to remove the rear driveshaft for it to fit - IE, you lose 4WD; but the tranny will fit

- the difference between the 2WD and 4WD trannies is the presence, or lack of the rear drive output - the 2WD tranny is also smaller and lighter as it does not have the 4WD mechanism in it
