'99 Legacy speedo

Featured Replies

Ok I need help. Since my speedo wasnt working I had the speed sensor replaced. This was 2 months ago and now I am away at school. Being the speedo has stopped working again I took it to my local dealer here. I was informed that this is a common problem among the '99s. I knew that. Apparently the fix, is a new speedo and that this is common knowledge in the Subaru community.

So I was wondering if anyone has service bulliten on this or anything concrete that I could take to my dealer back home. I would greatly appreciate it and Im pretty pissed that I paid $240 for a new speed sensor that I didnt need.

This is a common problem on those legacy's

I don't know of it being a common problem....however that doesn't mean it is.

Which dealer did you take it to?

I'd recommend asking in the legacy forum on NASIOC to see if the guys over there seem to think it's a common problem. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums
