hi

everyone is probably tired of me posting but i have one more question.

i have a 97 sub legacy outback. 181000 miles and the 2.5l dohc engine.

i just had a valve job done. while they were at the machine shop i replaced front and rear seal, water pump, clutch. i then put a new timing belt kit on. which includes your tensioners and pulleys and belt.

the car is running great. but i am getting a weird sound when it is cold.

its almost like a knocking but it also kinda resembels a belt slapping the timing cover. i am most likely sure its not piston slap because i have heard that on other subarus and its not the same.

the noise does go away as soon as the car warms up.

any ideas for me

thanks
