March 13, 200620 yr I hope someone can offer sound advice on this one. My driver's side headlight has gond dim. I purchaed a new bulb for it but still it is dim. i don't want to have to pay ridiculous shop labor for something that may be a qucik fix. on another note. does anyone have a hnit on aiming the headlights. i bought my subaru '98 legacy wagon with no owners manul.? thanks for any help, gritle
March 13, 200620 yr Look in your fuse box for the left or drivers side fuse. It's probably blown. This should be in the Fusebox under the hood by the battery.
March 13, 200620 yr The same ground is applied to both lights. Check the voltage at the bulb, which comes straight from the fuses. The 12 volt line should be the middle tab, but I'm not exactly sure. Just compare both sides.
March 13, 200620 yr Hmmm... I would have said bad ground too, but if both left and right ground share a ground, I would suspect corrosion in the wiring that feed the dim light. A good multimeter should help you identify the source of your problems.
