BlackMalkin
Hi, I am currently talking with someone in VT who is interested in selling their SVX. They want 1700 for it--it's a 92 with 150k miles. The only thing is, they say "it can only be driven short distances" and they don't know what the problem is, and they can't drive it far enough to get to a mechanic for a diagnostic. Should I buy it anyway? What could the problem be? I was thinking maybe the fuel pump. I need some input here as I don't really have a lot of cash for fixing a blown engine. Thanks
Subarian
First you have to answer the question: It can only be driven a short distance because____________ . For example, it overheats, or it dies, or the cabin fills up with smoke, or something like that. Without knowing symptoms, it's hard to diagnose. idosubaru
What could the problem be? what couldn't it be? there's alot of things in a car that will keep it from going places. try to narrow it down to motor or trans related.
