October 23, 200322 yr Hi, I have an 83 sube wagon 2wd 5spd, The ECS light kept coming on, so i pulled the code and it said it was from the vehicle speed sensor. I looked that up in my repair manual and it said because it was hard to acces call the dearler. I would appricate anything you can tell me about this.

I can check the Factory Service Maunal tomorrow or if we hook up sometime in the next week, I can get on Mitchell at school and we can look it up and figure it out. I shoulda told you to do that today but I completle spaced on it.
October 23, 200322 yr the speed sensor sits above the speedometer cable, where it attaches to the speedometer. It's has two wires sticking out of it.

Opps, that isn't quite where the speedsensor is. You will need to remove the speedometer from the clustor. The thing with two wires attached to the speedometer is the speedsensor
October 24, 200322 yr Author I went through the wiring and found that the sensor is unpluged, does anyone know where it plugs into?
