October 24, 200322 yr i see you're online. you had said something about a model of hatch (ea81 body) called i think a SRX that came w/ dual carbs. where did you get that from?
October 24, 200322 yr from the car... white hatch with racing stripes had srx on the side under the hood EA71 w dual carbs 2wd w 5 speed fast as hell spank almost any auto 2wd EA81 GLF from back in the day.. also there's a referance to it in an owners manual for an 83 or 84 GLF that I got from a parts car.. I'll dig it up and see if it has more info.. I've also held the dual carb manifold in my hands w 2 hitachi carbs on it dreaming about hoe much work it'd take 2 put on my EA71 w two EA82 carbs...
October 24, 200322 yr Author yeah whatever you could dig up i would like to see. very much. i just found an engine with carbs and all. where was this car you saw, in the u.s., or on some island?
October 24, 200322 yr ok here's the info I have, which isn't that much SRX EA71 dual carb timing 10 degrees BTDC compression ratio 9.5:1 gear ratios 1st: 3.666 2nd:2.157 3rd:1.518 4th:1.156 5th:0.942 reverse: 4.1 final:3.7 I dunno what countries got this car but I live in Barbados and that's where the car I saw resides as well
October 24, 200322 yr Author thanks for the info- if you can ever get a picture, hey, cool.....what is the "l series" mentionened in your sig?
October 24, 200322 yr 'L-series' is the designation used by subaru for a 85-93 'ea82' style subaru..but calling it an ea82 sub isn't right since it could be had w ea63, ea71 and ea82 power under the hood so I refer to it as subaru defines it so my car is a: 1989 Subaru L-Series DL wagon (or 'estate' for any euro guys on here) 1600 2WD 5 speed
