Anyone taken the shift knob off of a 4wd Justy?

Featured Replies

My 4wd button rattles and makes a bunch of racket on the freeway in my justy, and I'm thinking of taking the shift knob off and running the wire for the 4x4 switch into a switch in the dash somewhere. I know there is a screw on the front of the knob, but what are the little holes in the side? how do I get it off?? Thanks!

Sweet Justy! I believe there is a hollow tube in the middle of the shift knob that you have to push out (really hard to do) to let go of the red button.

Okay,

I see the little rod that I need to "push" out, but I cant seem to get it to budge. Any tips or ideas?? Thanks again!

Dylan

Its a roll pin, like the axles, i have the button, but on the DL/Loyale body, i used a 20 cent mexican coin and it hasn't rattled since, that was over 4 years ago.

cheaper and easier, a nickle should fit nicely.

i had pennies and cardboard wedged in there, but it still rattled around (Although it did help a little). But what is a roll pin?? Is it threaded or something? Thanks,

Dylan
