Wont shift out of 4WD to 2WD. It shifts into 4wd hi to low and vice versa, but i cant get it into 2wd for nothing..tried in reverse,1 st gear,all those . Wont budge. Any ideas?

Mine sometimes needs extra encouragement to go back to FWD. Press on it until it pops in while driving straight.

get goin in reverse on dirt goin about 15 mph backwards and slam the shift lever down.

 

Check your tire sizes. Sounds like you got a missized tire on your car, which is causing some binding issues

Mine would do this if you happen to hit to hard of ground, just had to find some looser stuff and it would come out, really sounds like a binding problem, jack the front or rear off the ground and see if you can shift it then.

After I figured out what to search for i found my answer..just jack up the back and unload the tire. Worked great..thanks.
