I've tried a bunch of aftermarket racks and they don't fit on the raingutters of my 87 gl. The gutters are just too wide.

 

Has anyone used the Thule 300 towers on an '87 GL wagon? I ask because I'm considering buying a set on eBay and this is the model the Thule website reccomends.

 

If anyone has another reccomendation I'd appreciate that also. Or, if anyone has a set (of straight bar racks) that they have used on an 87 GL wagon I'm in San Diego and I'm hoping to pay no more than $50 total.
