May 22, 200619 yr has anyone ever put stacks in the back of a brat? since i might be keeping my 78 brat for a beater, i was thinking of putting a single stack up through the front pass side of the bed. probly could just cut the resignator, and run a straight 2.5 inch pipe after the y pipe, and up through the bed, then connect it to a glasspack above the bed, with a nice big chrome truck tip, and a chrome heatshield to cover up the red glasspack:D i just think that would look sweet. i would have to sacrafice one of the jumpseats, but leave the drivers side jump seat there for a occasional 3rd passenger. if i keep it, i still plan to build up that fe motor, lower it, and convert it to rwd. its already got a cyclops light.
May 23, 200619 yr man if you were closer i have a set of brand new take off pipes from a hd sportser and a set from they would make awsome stacks as they are crome and about 4in in diameter... but i would say quit screwing up a good brat:lol: jk
May 23, 200619 yr Author hd pipes are a great idea:brow: i`ll have to look around for some. about how long are they? how wide is the inlet? are they simular to a glasspack inside? are they angled at the top so rain won`t fall in freely? thanks Jon ps. i would be interested in buying one of yours if you want to sell and if you would ship:brow:
May 23, 200619 yr Here's a pic of the Hatchbrat by Bratsrus1: Not exactly a Brat, but I guess it'd be the closest thing. Sorry I don't have andy closer pics either.
May 23, 200619 yr Hey Jibs This is Jerry, good going i love it. My next hatchbrat will have those same pipes on it also. The cool looks and the thumbs up i get when i drive it makes me happy. Also the cool sound they make everybody thinks it has a V8 in it cool i love it. Thanks Jerry
May 23, 200619 yr LMAO... I gots a stack on my brat now, ask Subieguy, he saw it. Made from 100% recycled parts (except the flappy weather cap) hell, the stack isnt even exhaust pipe.. its this pipe that used to hold up the lift controls for one of the lifts at cuesta college... I found it in the dumpster... works great. All the pieces from the collector to the muffler are actually the original brat exhaust pieces, but I cut up and used all the straight sections, then used some whatever pro-flo muffler that was lying around. At least if nothing else it puts a smile on peoples faces as I drive by. Oh, and it shoots flames at night because of how much oil my engine burns... -Mike
