tgzeagles
I've had an '87 Gl 4WD wagon for about 2 years. Lately I've done a LOT of driving on very dry dusty dirt roads. I've noticed that my wheels are squeaking when they roll but only if the brakes aren't applied. When I press the brakes (even lightly) the noise stops. Can this be caused by dust/dirt or is this noise likely unrelated to my recent driving? If it could be dirt, how can I diagnose/clean/fix this? Thanks! Brumby Boy
pull the wheels off and clen them and the brake assembly, also check your pad wear
subie94
sounds like you got dust in between your rotors an pads or brakes shoes an drum...(not sure what kind of brake set-up you have) i'd do what Brumby Boy said..
