misterstubbs
Hello Subaru inthusiasts! I have a 1998 Legacy 2.2 AWD 112K that occasionally (2-3 times in the last 15K) will not automatically downshift going up a hill. It basically loses power in the current gear that it is in and refuses to kick down. I have to come to a stop (keep car running) and start up the hill again and it's fine. Otherwise, gear changes are very smooth and I have no troubles. I love this car! I have not tried to downshift (auto tranny) or punch the accelerator. I have however slowly accelerated to the floor with no downshift. What is going on here??? I would love some advice Jesse P.
Legacy777
There's been some recent posts about this. Next time floor the accelerator, and it should downshift.
