mtsmiths
whilst she is visiting the Hawaii grandkids. Projects to include: Polish headlamp covers (did that today) and replace bulbs (the passenger side low beam is out, so planning Sylvania ... not the Silverstars, sounds like they don't last). Detail interior. Replace cracked windshield. Fix dent (I put in) tailgate. Bedliner the front and real valances and sides below the rubber belt line. We get those areas seriously sandblasted in winter. Install splashguards. The question: how do I remove the fakey air scoops that cover up the foglight holes (I may also install driving lights)? * Legacy lifted with Outback struts and springs ... can't bring myself to call it an Outacy. Legacy777
The covers should either pop out, or there will be some screws or something to remove. Your best bet is to remove the fender liner so you can see behind the bumper. That'll tell you real quick what you need to do.
mtsmiths
The thought has crossed my mind. A BTW. Our lower front fender lips have always been a little flared out, prolly from the previous owner kissing a curb with the lower valance. Yesterday I fixed it thusly: Loosened the single 10mm bolt connecting the lip to the body, then pulled the valance forward the 1/4" it was knocked back. Put a regular hair dryer set on hot on a milk carton and heated hte bulge for 15 min per side. While warm leaned my thigh against the buldge and held it until the plastic cooled. All fixed.
