I Need Help!!!

Featured Replies

I have an 1984 brat std 4x4 trans, and I put a turbo motor into it (ea81 style) and I can make it run by pouring gas into the intake, and it will run as long as I keep the gas flowing. I have fuel to the injector rails but I don't seem to have any going through the injectors, is there a sensor that controls the injuectors opening and closeing? I have replaced the ecu already. I don't think the turbos had the revolution sensor that the the carb style do. I used the harness and motor out of a 1983 turbo auto wgn, I also have put the the harness out of a 1983 GL10 into it so I can have power mirrors and door locks.

any help would be great, I really want to get my Brat back on the road! Thanx

Turbos DO have rev sensors. They are incorperated into the ECU.

Does the fuel pump run for more than a couple seconds? You can check by putting a voltmeter on the pump while cranking.

Do you have 12V at the injectors ALL THE TIME?

If not,check the fusible links.

Any codes?ECU light on?

No light on the ECU and no power to the Inj. fusable links are good.

I am thinking it may have to do with the fact its an Automatic harness

In a STD but I bypassed the auto shifter wire so it should think its in park

and should start.... I really want to get this thing on the road, its car show season. And there really isn't many Brats up this side of the border.

If you have no power at either wire w/the injector disconnected, either the fusible link or wiring harness is open.

As long as the starter works,it is not an auto/std. harness issue.

No power at the injectors... did you intall the dropping-resistor pack, and do you have power to it. (Can't remember if this pack is between battery and injectors or injectors and ECU grounding.)

Can any one tell me what this is and where it is because I don't have power to the injectors????
