Brat Tranny Shudder When Under Load

Hey everyone,

 

1986 brat with 4MT -145,000 miles. She has a little tranny shudder at certain speeds, but MOST noticeable in 4th gear when I'm going up a hill @ 45 mph and the motor starts to lug a little.

I have checked 'er over, and the engine mounts all look good and tight. I also JUST replaced the L&R trans mounts on the crossmember, AND the front and rear U-JOINTS (rear one was causing a LOT of shaking before)

BUT.....I am still hearing a metal-on-metal clunking when the motor lugs down. Did I miss some hidden mount that needs replacing?

Search for "vibration" -- you'll find my yet unsolved issue and several others, lots of choices for possible causes here.
