I upgraded the front and rear speakers in my 2000 Forester. I have Panasonic 6" speakers in the front and 5" Sony speakers with the use of an adapter in the rear. I also installed the Subaru tweeters in the front door.

 

I am looking to upgrade the Subaru tweeters to Infinity tweeters (model is Reference 1011t).

 

Questions: Does anyone know if the Infinity tweeters would fit the Forester?

Sound wise would I benefit from this upgrade?

Sorry but not everyone changed there tweeters, and knows if they will fit but do the tweeters you have now sound great? because that's all that matters.

They are only $80. No big deal. My wife doesn't really care.

Here's my take on this...

 

I'm going to guess that the infiniti's sound better than the stock tweeters. but I would think that without a new head unit and external amp, the sound improvement would be marginal.

 

if the car had no tweeter, I might be inclined to get the infiniti's. but for (what I think will be) the small improvement in sound, I don't think the cost and hassle is worth it to replace the stock tweeters.

The head unit was replaced a while back with a Pioneer unit. I'm going to give them a shot and see.
