Lonely Brat in Battle Mountain NV

Featured Replies

Okay, so I'm driving down I-80 just east of Battle Mountain Nevada, about mile marker 395 (see below), and I spy out of the corner of my little eye, a sad and lonely yellow Brat in someone's front yard. Just sitting there, looking so forlorn and un-loved. My bf wouldn't stop and let me look at it though:mad: 'Cause we would have had to turn around, get on the frontage road, yada yada.....anyway, my point is.....It looked like a Gen 2 (as far as I could tell, but I could be wrong), in pretty good shape. Someone from NV that is close to it might want to check it out.

I'll also be posting the final pics of the "Marshmallow" restoration soon. Just gotta get the wagon wheels on her and a few odds and ends. Cheers everyone!

Sorry I think the mile marker number is wrong. After I though about it, the number is 235. Anyway, if anyone goes there, it's right on the south side frontage road, easy to see.

Dang, thats a 3 hour drive from Reno, but it might be worth it :)

Brat is still there, still lonely, now with something LARGE laying across the bed... BF STILL would not stop to let me look at it:mad:  . Guess I'm going to have to take my own road trip :burnout: and check it out....OOooohhh you men....somedays......!!!!! ;)

If you really wanted to see it you should have been driving on the way back!!?

never mind unless you were on a two year road trip.

there are plenty of men around, but brats are getting rare...

I think you know where you should put your priorities...

I saw that same brat on my trip to the mid west a few months ago. My roommate thought I was crazy whenever I pointed out a Subaru. She just does not understand!

Now don't think for a minute that I didn't consider this. ;) But I don't know how easy it would be to find another guy that would park his brand new truck outside and let me take over his garage to work on my projects.:-p Kinda rare these days...

Wounded Brat,

I did want to drive, but........it was raining REALLY hard when we left Reno, and the BF thinks that 'cause I'm just a girl (with only 11 more years driving experience than him I might add:headbang: ) I don't know how to drive in the rain..
