has anyone had wipers on 1999 impreza act up on them? mine seem to be adjusted properly, they are just weak in mist or dry conditions and during rain they hit the side post then they go down and hit the cowl ( which is loud and really annoying ) could the plastic gears in the motor be striped ? im stumped

Nope, happened with my 93 legacy, its the bushing that are worn out. But bring it to ur local dealer, and they will probably say u need a new wiper assembly, thats what mine said.

i have same prob.called dealership parts dept about wiper rebuild kit and found out there is none.gotta buy whole assembly,at about $90 a side..
