First Gen Impreza Rear Headrests

Featured Replies

I was just looking at my 93 impreza wagon the other day and noticed that the rear seat has caps covering up holes for headrests, the back of the seat even has the latch mechanism like the front seats do for adjusting the headrest height. The holes on the rear seat are a little farther apart than the front seat headrests so those dont fit. Does any one know what cars subaru actually put rear headrests on from that age, did the impreza sedans or coupes have the rear seat headrest. I just thought it was strange that the back seats have all the hardware to accept rear headrests but i have never seen an impreza that has them.

I think only the 98-01 2.5RS came with rear headrests, but not the base models. My 2000 OBS didn't have them either.

My wagon is a 1995 model and doesn't have guides for headrests in the rear. That year, Impreza was severely "decontented". Quite possible that '93 and '94 had rear headrests, especially on LS.
