Can you replace the duty solenoid c without removing the tranny tail housing? I am getting a code 24 with is the solenoid. Tomorrow I am going to get under the car & check the solenoid. I would like to know so I can buy the gasket while at the dealer getting the solenoid. Thanks.

nope, you have to remove the rear extension housing to get at the duty c solenoid.

 

Make sure you test the wiring to the solenoid to make sure that's not the problem.

 

What symptoms are you having, other then light being on & that code stored.

Bad torque bind. Installing the fuse helps a little but when I check the duty solenoid I get a open. From what I can find that will put the AWD into 50/50 regardless of the fuse. I have already checked tires & changed all the fluids. Anything I might have overlooked? Thanks.

I guess check the wiring to the sensor, if all looks good, you could try testing the sensor......other then that.....not really sure....other then the sensor being bad.

I will check fro continuity from TCU harness to the soenoid if I can find the connector at the tranny. Also, is there anyway to know if the clutch packs are bad while I have the extension housing off?

I'm sure there is a way to look at the clutch packs and tell. I'm not exactly sure what they should look like new/used, etc.
