If I take off the a/c belt, will it change anything dramatically (e.g. the balance of forces on the crank pulley)?

i did on mine , did not seem to hurt anything 86 spfi a/t sedan , the dealer said is was ok , my compressor is locked up and the pully was bad . :wave:

i am also using a oem alt belt , which in my opinion is better , seems to keep tighter , :wave:
