October 15, 200619 yr I'm planning on replacing the air filter in my '95 Legacy tomorrow. I usually go OE, but I've noticed they've been becoming increasingly pricy. Anyone have recommendations of a brand that is just as good and cheaper? Or, should I suck it up and stick to OE Subaru? Brian M.

October 16, 200619 yr Some people like those Purolator. I bought some aftermarket air filter, forget the brand, and promptly returned it because the gasket was much thinner than on the OE thus resulting in a poor seal.

I second the Purolator, I don't know if they are used OEM... but some of their other filters are like oil.
