October 22, 200619 yr I'm posting mostly because when I was looking for an answer they were really hard to come by, so in case you were wondering...a Legacy steering wheel (and I would assume an Impreza wheel as well) will fit on a GL wagon without any modification. The only thing that does not work is the mechanism to auto shut off the turn signals (the switch works differently) so you have to manually disengage them. Hope this is useful to someone. Kevin
October 22, 200619 yr Also, just to note... the XT steering wheel WILL NOT fit any other 80s car. The spline is different... just FYI:mad:

Kevin yes but it is very easy to make the turn signal cancel switch work with the new wheel. i have a 96 JDM WRX wheel on my car and had to make it work. you just have to drill 2 holes in the coller around the shaft. 180* at 12:00 and 6:00. then press some small role pins (pull the ones out of your stock wheel) into the holes. make sure they are stright and it works perfict -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com

I was looking at that and wondering if that would work. Thanks for the tip. Kevin
