How do you know if it is a "Cal spec" Subaru?

Featured Replies

How do you know if your subaru is a "Cal Spec" car.

I am looking to buy an O2 Sensor and their are two front O2 sensors avaliable on http://www.subarupartsforyou.com

1. OXYGEN SENSOR FRONT, IMPREZA 1999 ALL 2.2 & 2.5 WITHOUT CAL SPECS (item E) (only for vehicles with 2 sensors, this one is in the front cat) $109.00

2. OXYGEN SENSOR FRONT, FOR IMPREZA 2.2 1999 cal specs only (item E) (only for vehicles with 2 sensors, this one is in the front cat)

$159.00

Is there a way to determine which one I would need to buy, where should I look for this info.

Thanks

J.F.

Just give them your VIN when you buy it, that'll assure you get the right part. Otherwise if you look at some of the plaquards on the vehicle like under the hood and stuff it might say.

Go to www.subaruparts4you.com

They make you enter a VIN # when ordering so the part is correct. Also, you can call Greg, he will look up the part for you so you can enter the actual part#. I know because I just got off the phone with him for rear brakes on my outback. Just make sure you have the VIN # when you call.

He didn't know me from Adam and still was very helpful.
