Rx -> Rs swap-o; what do I need?

Featured Replies

Ok,

so I'm dropping an EJ25 into my Rx and swapping in favor of the legacy tranny. I know I need the tranny the starter and the rear end, but have a few questions. Answer what you can:banana:

1. Can I swap my LSD chunk into the Leg rear diff with a touch of work?

2. What rear ratios are available in the legs? I saw a 4.11 today and was surprised.

3. Driveshaft? What do I do? I assume that I can use my stock one.

4. Are the imps the only ones that had 23 splines in some cases? Any leg stuff will work right?

4. Anything else to note?

Thanks!

4.11 is the most common one you will find in NA 90-94 legacies.

I made a thread about combining a clutch type LSD and a 4.11 legacy diff and noone really knew, something about the stub axles not matching and the diff carrier having different amounts of ring gear bolts.

only fwd imprezas had 23sp.

hope that helps,
